Kibby & Colin – Married! Part I

Oh, Kibby and Colin. What can I say about you that hasn’t been said already? After your gorgeous engagement session and your epic bridal/groomal shoot, there is not much left.
I have a confession. I had high expectations for your wedding day. And luckily, but not surprisingly, you did not disappoint. Your wedding was amazing and if you enjoyed the day even a FRACTION as much as I did, I’m sure it was the best day of your lives.

Colin and Kibby were married at the BEAUTIFUL Salt Lake City Temple.

Kibby’s Mom takes a peek outside. Everyone is waiting to see the couple for the very first time as husband and wife!!

One last bout check, a quick hug, and it’s time!

Presenting….Mr. and Mrs. Terry!

Family and friends were abundant that day.

Even one friend who couldn’t make it found a way to “be there.”

The moms and the dads. It all started with them. :)

And now, my favorite part of the day. The bride and groom. Just them.
(And me, but I try not to intrude TOO much!)

The light was KILLER that day. I could never pick a favorite photo from their wedding, but these two are definitely up there.

I could keep talking about how awesome Kibby and Colin’s wedding was, but I’ll shut up now. Just enjoy the photos.

Up next: Part II – The Reception!! Stay tuned.

p.s. I have to give a shout out and a HUGE thank you to my second shooter, Angela!!
This hot chick is the magic behind Angela Marie Photography and she helped me rock this wedding. Thanks, darling!

Shane & Amy – Married!

Shane and Amy were married this July in Provo, Utah. The ceremony and reception were held in Amy’s backyard…and it was GORGEOUS!

The backyard was the perfect backdrop for a wedding. Lots of trees and flowers shaded everyone from the July sun, and there was plenty of space!

Did I mention the guests released live butterflies at the end of the ceremony? They did. How rockin’ is that?!

Do we have a future assistant on our hands? I think so.

The wedding was catered by Steven & Lani of Utah Celebrations Catering. They did a FANTASTIC job. The food was delicious and the presentation was flawless. They even had a crepe bar…YUM! If you’re looking for a caterer, give these guys a call.

I’ll leave you with my favorite guests photo ever. My hope is that this kid’s mom find our blog and uses this photo to blackmail him for years to come! (He was not a bit ashamed of the black nail polish!)

Brittani & Jake – Married!

Brittani and Jake got married a few months ago (I know, bad blogger award) and it was FANTASTIC. These two were such a blast to hang out with.

We started the day at a hotel where Brit and her sisters spent the night having a big sleepover. What a fun way to spend the night before your wedding!!

Brit’s colors were purple and green…check out her killer shoes!!

Not to mention her killer ring, which just so happens to match her colors perfectly!! Good job, Jake! (I happen to know he picked it out on his own)

We all know the rule about seeing the groom before the wedding…but it’s okay to text message him, right?!

They tied the knot at the beautiful Bountiful Temple . We hadn’t done a wedding there before, and as you know…we love new places!

Brittani and her Daddy. He was a little camera shy, but she wouldn’t hear of it!

These two were so cute and cuddly all day long…it made our job incredibly easy! Just sit back and catch those moments as they happen!

Cool tidbit about the Bountiful Temple: there is a spot inside you can shoot! How cool is that? (Disclaimer: They are really strict about the inside shooting area. You will get a stern talking to by a sweet little temple worker if you try to catch any quick photos outside the designated area. I may or may not know from experience. Consider yourself warned!)

I think this would make a gorgeous canvas to hang on the wall:

After the temple it was on to the reception! Their reception was held in Brittani’s backyard, and it turned out gorgeous. Perfect weather, perfect lighting…she couldn’t ask for more!

Her cake was really cool. It was all melty looking, with wildflowers all over…definitely unique!

Remember that yummy light I talked about??

The bouquet toss…caught by Brittani’s aunt!

And…they’re off!

Just a little side note to any upcoming brides: Brittani and Jake purchased a wedding package that includes an Italian leather storybook album. These things are so delicious and yummy and beautiful…if you are getting married, you NEED ONE!! We are designing theirs as we speak, and oh man, it’s going to be amazing. I’ll be sure to post photos of it when it is finished, but rest assured it is awwwwwesome.

Alexis & Rob – Married!

When Alexis told me about her water park wedding reception, I knew this pair had a fun day planned for their friends and family.  And boy was I right!  Alexis and Rob first met at Seven Peaks when she was working as a life guard.  What better place to celebrate their new life together?  And besides, it’s not every day that you get a wedding invitation telling you to bring a towel and swimsuit.

Not your typical bridal party!

They started the night off with a splash!  I don’t know many brides who would jump into a pool on their wedding day.

Yeah…I’d say their guests enjoyed themselves.

Okay, okay.  Their wedding wasn’t ALL water slides and cannon balls.  The reception/totally awesome party was held the night before the ceremony.  I’d say the bridal party cleans up pretty well, don’t you think?

After a delicious breakfast with friends and family at Thanksgiving Point, we stole the couple away for a few photos before heading up to the temple.  We just had to take advantage of the famous Thanksgiving Point gardens.

The ceremony was held at the stunning Jordan River Temple in South Jordan, Utah.

Rob and Alexis looked stunning as well.  Rob rocked his tux and Alexis was amazing in her gorgeous dress.

They look pretty dang happy to be tying the knot, wouldn’t you say?

I think it’s safe to say that it was a pretty amazing day for the new Mr. and Mrs. Duffin.

Alexis and Rob, thank you so much for giving us the chance attend our first (and probably last) water park wedding.  You two sure know how to celebrate!  I hope your life together is always as exciting as the way it started out.

Mike & Meagan – Sealed!

Meagan and Mike tied the knot a few years ago, and were sealed recently in the Salt Lake City Temple.

Meagan wanted a very vintage, old look to her photos. I loved her dress…it was cream and tan, with a huge skirt, and very pretty! It was her original wedding dress too.

After some fun close-ups…. (how beautiful are these two?!)

…It was time for a couple traditional SLC Temple photos. This is my favorite location, it is so perfect!

Congrats, you guys!

Ryanne & Braden

Ahh..what can I say about Ryanne and Braden? If you thought their bridal session totally rocked, you should have seen their wedding.

We started the day off at Mount Timpanogos Temple, right around noon on the hottest day of the year! It was a bright, hot day, but Braden and Ryanne took it with a great attitude.

We kind of love Braden and Ryanne…so many of these aren’t even posed, they know just what to do in front of a camera with very little direction!

Aren’t they darling together??

Moments like these just happen naturally with these two. They are so in love, they were unaware of anyone around them and just wrapped up in their day!

A lil’ something to keep up with the vintage look Ryanne loves!

Their reception was beautiful! It was held at Wadley Farms, where Ryanne took the beautiful scenery and turned it into a spectacular reception! She has such an amazing eye for details and everything was set up perfectly!

There is an awesome red barn on the property. Since Ryanne’s colors were red and black, we decided it was the perfect place for their formal shots!

Braden and ‘the boys’

I couldn’t resist catching a few more of Ryanne and Braden together!

The awesome cake

She had a fun candy refreshments bar (everything in red and black, of course!) As well as fresh fruit, chicken sandwiches and the most delicious brownies ever! (catered by BYU Catering – YUM!)

Ryanne’s awesome red shoes

Beautiful ring! ( I think Braden even picked it out completely on his own! Go Braden!)

Braden just finished up school at UNLV, where he played baseball. (Go here to read a newspaper article about his baseball talents and his love for Ryanne!)

Melissa and Travis

Melissa and Travis tied the knot in an awesome park in Highland. It was a very relaxed day with beautiful weather and a beautiful wedding!

Melissa’s nephew was the ring bearer. (You may recognize him from our earlier days) He was so cute, they had to tug him away from Melissa to go sit back in his seat.

Melissa and Travis are some of the most laid back people I have ever met! They are so fun and carefree, and didn’t let anything ruin their perfect day.

Their theme was very beachy with bright, fun colors. I went a little crazy with the ring shots…shocker, I know…but here are a few of my faves!

Some fun details from the day:

And the [cheese]cake cutting!

In case you were wondering…cheesecake makes a much bigger mess than regular cake, and is harder to get off! I think Melissa had the right idea:

We had an awesome time with you guys, thanks for all the fun!

Stay tuned everyone…I have LOADS of incredible sessions to post this week! You won’t be disappointed!
