Kibby & Colin – Bridals

Sigh. So much could be said about Kibby and Colin. I could talk about their fun, vibrant personalities. I could talk about Kibbys really cool bridal hair. I could talk about the fact that they completely forget the camera is on them, which makes for relaxed, natural, amazing photos.

But I won’t. Today, I’m just going to let the photos speak for themselves.
(I will say this: They did a “first look”, which you should REALLY consider doing if your groom is part of your bridal session!)

Nikki & Mike – Bridals/Groomals

In keeping with the recent trend we are seeing (and LOVING!) Mike tagged along to Nikki’s bridal session.  We spent an afternoon with them at the gorgeous Tahitian Noni Gardens.

Nikki was absolutely stunning, and Mike cleaned up rather well himself. These two make such a perfect couple, photographing them was way too easy. How can we not love our job when we always luck out with such awesome people!?

The gardens were awesome, as usual. There is so much to work with, we couldn’t even cover the entire grounds in one session.

Ummmmmm, hello hotness.

If you love these two as much as we do, stay tuned for their awesome wedding post. Crazy cool venue, crazy wedding day story.  Coming soon!

Brittani & Jake – Bridals

Remember the amazing backyard we told you about?  Check it out.  Brittani and Jake’s bridals are finally here! We went to Jake’s hometown of Heber, where his neighbor was gracious enough to let us take over his property for the afternoon.  The day was a little stormy and grey, but we made it work for us.  The overcast sky helped us get some moody images that I’m in LOVE with.

We’re seeing a new trend with bridal sessions lately.  Remember Ryanne and Braden?  Brittani was insistent that we include her soon-to-be-hubby, Jake, in her bridal portraits as well.  I’m definitely digging this trend, as it makes for some totally gorgeous photos.  A totally gorgeous couple and an amazing location doesn’t hurt either.

Seriously.  We just kept finding more and more awesome spots!  I love the perspective of the path and the trees in this photo.

The clouds opened up and it started to rain on us for a few minutes.  Luckily, there was this awesome bridge just down the road.  We ducked underneath it to stay dry and we were able to keep shooting.  The natural light shining in from around them made Jake and Brittani just glow.

They are so darling!  And so in love. :)

Something a little different…what do you think?

My favorite series of the day!  So sweet and tender.

And of course, this is a bridal session.  We have to get at least one of the gorgeous bride by herself.  Brittani looked so amazing.  I can’t even imagine how great she will look on the big day!

Brittani and Jake, we hope you love your photos.  We certainly do and we had a blast hanging out with you again.  We can’t wait for your wedding this weekend.  It’s sure to be amazing!

Parts II and III – Bridals and Family

I love that Sean has already seen Ashley in her dress, so we don’t have to hold these secret! Can I just start by saying that Ashley is one of the most poised and beautiful brides I have ever worked with. She has such beautiful posture and is simply elegant!.It was hard to narrow these down, there are so many beautiful photos of her.

Isn’t she breathtaking?

The sun was just about down here, so we had some beautiful, warm, sun-setting light!

Ryanne (and Braden too!)

When we asked Ryanne what she was picturing for her bridal portraits, she told us she wanted something old fashioned and vintage.
Oh, and she wanted her fiance there too.

“But he’ll see you in your dress before the wedding day!”

She didn’t care. The marriage is about the two of them and she wanted to share this part with him too.
“I don’t want a bunch of photos of just me. I want him there too.”

I’ve got to hand it to her. This shoot turned out AMAZING! Props to Ryanne for the great ideas.

The two are incredible together and so comfortable in front of the camera. Everything between them was natural. We didn’t have to force them into awkward poses to get a beautiful photo.

They showed up to the location looking perfect. He looked so handsome in his tux and she was jaw-dropping in her gorgeous dress.

It was very obvious to me and Aubrey why these two are together. The chemistry they have together is amazing.

Classic beauty! I love how well they did the serious thing.

These next two shots are my absolute FAVORITES from the day. We found this little spot by accident, but it turned out amazing. Check out those colors!

We loved this one so much, we ordered a 15×30 canvas as a studio sample. It just arrived the other day and it is incredible.

Now, it just wouldn’t be right if we didn’t get a few shots of just the bride.
This girl is so hot. Check out her blue eyes!

And of course, we can’t forget the handsome groom.

A lot of guys hate being shoved in front of a camera, but Braden was such a good sport. He totally worked it.

One thing that I love about Ryanne is her attention to detail. Check out her matching shoes. How cute are they?

And her bouquet? She wrapped the stems in pearls to match her jewelry. So cute!!

We can’t wait to see what these two have cooked up for their wedding day, which just happens to be tomorrow!! So stay tuned for more of this hot couple. It’s hard to imagine them being any more gorgeous, but I’m sure they’ll pull it off.

Alisa

You know how some people just have one of those smiles that when they laugh/smile…you can’t help but do it too??

Meet Alisa!!

We had such a blast shooting her bridals. We started out at the Star Mill in American Fork. It is a little antique store with lots of fun stuff. Alisa wanted her photos to have an old, vintage, shabby look to them.

Isn’t she beautiful?

Then it was off to Provo for some downtown fun. Alisa was such a good sport, we had her walking all over downtown! I think we had her “twirl” for us over 100 times!!

Remember that smile I was talking about? She has such a fun personality and made some of the funniest faces…I couldn’t help but share!

Thanks for going along with all our crazy ideas! Can’t wait for your upcoming wedding!

Annalee

Aubrey and I spent such an incredible day with Annalee doing her bridal portraits. It’s tough to find a good location in the middle of March when all the snow is melted, but everything is still dead.
We were able to find two awesome places and I think they turned out beautiful. (It also helps that Annalee is drop dead gorgeous. It sure makes our job easier.)
We started out the day at the Tahitian Noni Gardens. Annalee’s mom and Aunt Tammy tagged along, which made for a great morning.

Check out her gorgeous eyes and perfect skin!

I’ve been in a very vintage phase lately, and I think this photo works perfectly.

There were SOOO many veil shots that I’m in love with. It was so hard to choose.

More vintage. I love her expression here.

Again, drop dead gorgeous.

Another stunning veil shot.

The weather was so beautiful. The sun stayed hidden until the exact moment we were ready for it to come out. It made for perfect lighting.

After we were done at the gardens, we all piled in the car and headed up to Salt Lake City. We finished off the session at the AMAZING Rio Grande Train Station. The giant windows let in TONS of gorgeous, natural light and the beautiful architecture makes this my new favorite location.

Gorgeous railings of natural wood and wrought iron.

My favorite shot of the day. It’s so powerful!

Check out her darling shoes! Such a cute touch.

More vintage…

Not your typical bridal portrait, but I think she looks gorgeous here.

All natural light! The stairwells were incredible.

And then outside for a few more…

…where we found a hidden treasure! I’m a sucker for old signs.

Annalee, we had such an awesome time shooting your bridal portraits. They turned out beautiful and we hope you love them!

Adventures in Photography

I like to think that my creativity makes me stand out as a photographer. Maybe that’s all in my head, but you have to admit. These are pretty cool.
Bridal Veil Falls in a rain storm. If that’s not creative, I don’t know what is.
If you recall, we’ve already done a wicked-awesome photoshoot with Alexis. Somehow, I talked her into it again. Only this time was a little different.
We’ve already experienced warm and sunny and dry. This time around it could not have been more cold and wet and rainy. It was a downpour the whole time. But, we decided if we’re going to get wet anyways, we might as well go all out.
And we did.
Poor Alexis. The things she suffers for my photographic vision.
We were hypothermic and soaked to the bone by the time we finished, but, at least in my mind, it was so worth it.
